According to wiki, Tangipahoa Parish is about 70% white. That makes it a lot more "lily white" than Vancouver. What does that have to do with a justice of the peace repeatedly refusing to marry inter-racial couples? What if the parish was 99.9% white? What if it was 10% white? Would either of those make it ok? I'm not following your drift.

It is wrong and that is why the jerk is no longer a JP, Bill. You stereotype everyone, Bill ... not racist, I suppose, but just as "wrong."

You are a funny guy ... the issue is really a black and white one ...

Yeah, there is a aboriginal-german wedding almost every day!
God, you may be a racist, Bill. It is the only thing you think about.

Of course he is wrong, Bill. The JP is a racist, plain and simple. He does NOT fit your stereotype, but he is indeed a racist. He is gone. 99.999% of the population of the parish did not even know he existed.

There are no lawsuits against the idiot and you avoid any comment the racism from those that you choose to ignore.
You judge people by the color, Bill ... racism, pure and simple.

The punk party doesn't rail against any kind of N-word, be it of the American or sand variety.
Consistent is the word i have been searching for. "They" always whine about anything race related if it's a republican ONLY.

I haven't engaged in any flagrant racism. It's fine to say you are not racist if your words and deeds match that statement. I am talking about people who say they are not racist, all the while engaging in the most obvious, vile, racist behavior imaginable. It's as if they think the rest of the world is deaf, dumb, and blind.
Further, it has been documented on RGP through scientific testing that I have no racial preferences whatsoever, so I can say with a utmost authority that "I am not a racist."

I posted an article from CNN's front page about a blatantly racist pig of an elected judicial official, an absolutely filthy disgusting example of a human being, brazenly violating the state and federal constitutions by refusing to marry a nice young couple based on nothing but their race, just as he had done to other young couples in the past. I didn't think this one was controversial. I thought I *finally* found a story we could all agree on.
But no...somehow....*I* get attacked.
I've learned my lesson. Never, EVER underestimate the RGP wingnuts' lack of a moral compass.

The really sad part in his rationalization is that he is thinking of the kids.
I have no clue what the actual stats are, but I'm pretty sure that more than 75% of Americans have mixed blood now.

Then why do you think about racism *so much*? I am not racist but I NEVER think about racism unless others bring it up. IMO people are people and I have much bigger things to worry about than someone's skin color.

So if someone thinks about racism a lot, he's a racist? Is that it? So all the sociologists who have devoted their careers to studying racism are racists? And naturally, by logical extension, criminologists are criminals? And anthropologists are Aborigines? And when I saw this lead story on CNN's home page yesterday, I should have quickly averted my eyes, lest I think about racism and become more of a racist?
That's some sharp mind you have there.
>I am not racist but...
LOL...you've made several overtly racist comments on this very newsgroup. Remember you asked me to show them to you once, and when I did you blamed it on always being drunk? Please do not make me drudge them up again. I am not much interested in individual racism. My interest is in institutional racism, which this latest CNN story represents.
I NEVER

So when you started a thread just two weeks ago titled, "<shrill voice> oh my god oh my god that's so racist", what is it you were thinking about? Giraffes?
