Funny enough the webshop "alternate" sent back the failed RMA ;)

So I got my second motherboard back ! I was kinda surprised ! ;) :)

I inspected the second motherboard it more or less has the same problem but
less severe...

Pretty amazing.

For now I will keep the stock AMD CPU Cooler...

It's quite interesting really... with this default cooler the cpu
temperature rises high to 47 degrees or so... but the motherboard stays very
cool at 32 to 33 degrees.

What's even more interesting is that when the cpu load stops... the
temperature quickly lowers to about 31 degrees or so...

This proves that the case is good at expelling heat... and this also proves
that the Scythe Zipang was obstructing airflow big time ! With that big
cooler it would take very long before temperatures dropped !

I am just hoping that with this tiny cpu cooler the components around the
cpu don't fry ?! ;)

Time will tell...

Yesterday was also a first... I was venting my place... temperatures dropped
at night... lowest I have seen so far... cpu was 25 degrees motherboard more
or less the same... that worried me a little bit... such high temperature
changes might be bad... fortunately I don't do that too often...

Kinda makes me wonder if motherboard death might be temperature fluctations
related... for now I am hoping for the best ! ;)

Also it seems amd power saving has been on all this time after all ?!? I
didn't know I was using it ;) :)

I guess I just didn't enable cool & quiet or so ?!? Since I think the cpu
fan spinning at full speed which is I think a good thing... for now I am
gonna let it be ! ;)

Bye,
  Skybuck.
